The 2026 Formula One World Championship is set to kick off in Australia, in less than two months time, bringing a host of new regulations and an expanded grid with two additional drivers. Whilst McLaren and Lando Norris fans alike are still celebrating winning both the constructors and drivers championships last season, we look ahead to what this year has in store for us.

Team 1: McLaren
Points Last Season: 833
Lando Norris 1 & Oscar Piastri 81
Lando finished top of the scoreboard and became world champion last time round, narrowly beating his teammate Oscar and Red Bull Driver Max Verstappen. Oscar came third in a very tight battle which went down to the last race. With both drivers in the top 3 and only 13 points separating them, even with a bunch of new regulations it would be hard to count these guys out. This year Lando takes the number one from Verstappen.

Team 2: Mercedes
Points Last Season: 469
George Russell 63 & Kimi Antonelli 12
Last year was the first year without Lewis Hamilton (now racing at Ferarri) and Kings Lynns very own, George Russell became the face of the team. George came a very solid 4th place, leaving the Ferrari drivers and his team mate in the dust. Kimi had a fantastic season for a rookie stepping up into the team with huge boots to fill, finishing in 7th place.

Team 3: Red Bull
Points Last Season: 451
Max Verstappen 3 & Isack Hadjar 6
Alongside yet another team mate, Max Verstappen makes changes to his side of the garage having gone with the number 3 (previously held by Danny Ric) after losing his defence of the world championship to Lando Norris. Isack impressed phenomenally in the Racing Bulls seat and was always tipped to be in a Red Bull seat, maybe just not quite as quick as it has happened. I do think the second seat curse may be up here, Isack is one hell of a driver.

Team 4: Ferrari
Points Last Season: 398
Lewis Hamilton 44 & Charles Leclerc 16
It once again, wasn't quite their season, with numerous problems with the cars. However, with new regulations in place this year there's not many people that wouldn't love a Ferrari comeback. Lewis & Charles on paper are such a strong lineup, so given the correct car Ferrari will be fighting at the top again.

Team 5: Williams
Points Last Season: 137
Carlos Sainz 55 & Alex Albon 23
After a genuinely brilliant and totally unexpected 2025 season, Williams are the team on the up at the moment with their main man James. Carlos going to Williams turned many heads, but he proved them wrong bagging himself 2 podium places. The ever reliable Alex contributed to Williams high points finishes too, these pair really do bounce off each other.

Team 6: Racing Bulls
Points Last Season: 92
Liam Lawson 30 & Arvid Linblad 41
With Liam unfairly being booted out of the main team, Racing Bulls have quite the pairing this year. Arvid is the only rookie on the grid this year, with big boots to fill in Isack. If rumours are anything to go by these guys have smashed the new regulations and the car will be unreal... plus they always have the best livery on race day, not to mention the best admin.

Team 7: Aston Martin
Points Last Season: 89
Lance Stroll 18 & Fernando Alonso 14
With Adrian Newey at the helm and Honda supplying the engine all i'm going to say is Lance Stroll might just win a race or two this season....

Team 8: Haas
Points Last Season:79
Ollie Bearman 87 & Esteban Ocon 31
The peoples team, the ones we all want to do well! They've done a brilliant job in keeping Ollie who was phenominal last season. We genuinely think we will see him in the Ferrari one day. Este was only 3 points behind Ollie at the end of the season, the Frenchman's race craft and attitude towards driving really has shone since he went to Haas!

Team 9: Audi
Points Last Season: 70 (as Kick)
Nico Hulkenburg 27 & Gabriel Bortoleto 5
Nico the man with the experience and Gabi the reigning 2024 F2 champion really came together in 2025 which was a super challenging season for the green machine. This year they've rebranded as Audi and are expecting big things. The rings were the first team to get to track in 2026 causing quite a stir amongst fans.

Team 10: Alpine
Points Last Season:22
Pierre Gasly 10 & Franco Colapinto 43
Dear i say very happy that 2025 is over, like many other teams probably happy for new regulations too. Officially the worst car in 2025 with Franco not scoring a single point. Can they turn their car around for 2026?

Team 11: Cadillac
New Team
Serigo Perez 11 & Valtteri Bottas 77
The new team on the block with 2 legendary drivers, what else could you want?
